Easter Procession Faro 2009

The Easter Procession in Faro Easter 2009. 'Procissao do Enterro do Senhor' is literally 'The Funeral Procession of Christ'. As such it is a sombre event, with slow marching, the clack clacking of a wooden board to announce the arrival of the procession, and drumming. Effigies representing the coffin of Christ and the Virgin Mary are carried on high. Many people follow the parade, all carry candles, and some go barefoot.

Sao Rafael Pool

Sao Rafael has superb private swimming pool located in the centre of the resort, and about 20 paces from my apartment! It is deep enough for diving. There is also a shallow childrens' pool and a well equipped pool house.
